Fuel Surcharge Matrix Feature
The Contracts module continues to expand and become more powerful! We are excited to introduce the Fuel Surcharge Matrix feature, designed to handle variable rates that meet your customers' demands. This feature supports:

Automated API connection to national fuel prices.

Customizable regional adjustments.

Incremental price and percentage rates.
Follow this guide to create and utilize Fuel Surcharge Matrices in your contracts.
Creating a Fuel Surcharge Matrix
Step 1: Access the Fuel Surcharge Matrix Settings

Navigate to Settings.

Select Fuel Surcharge Rate Matrix.

Click Add Fuel Matrix in the upper-right corner.
Step 2: Define Your Fuel Surcharge Matrix

Name your matrix: Enter a descriptive name to identify your matrix.

Select the region: Choose the applicable region for this line item.

Set the price range:

Define the minimum and maximum fuel price range.

Specify rates:
-
Input the Fuel Surcharge Rate (FSR) per mile and by rate percentage.

Step 3: Save Your Matrix
Once you have entered all the details, click Add Matrix in the lower-right corner to save your matrix.
Applying a Fuel Surcharge Matrix to a Contract
Step 1: Assign the Matrix to a Contract

Open the desired contract.

Add a Fuel Surcharge Accessorial.

Choose how the surcharge will be calculated:

Percentage basis.
-
Per mile basis.
-

Select the matrix you want to apply.
Step 2: Automate Fuel Surcharge Application (Optional)
Enable the automated application of the fuel surcharge by toggling the Automate slider. This ensures the surcharge is calculated based on the selected matrix without manual intervention.
